The Adventures of Taxi Dog

The Adventures of Taxi Dog is a unique concept in children's streaming. A story of Maxi, a stray mutt found up by Jim the Taxi Driver. Together they travel the Big City, picking up fares and learning about new and exciting cultures through the people they meet. Based on the Penguin Publishing classic book series, The Adventures of Taxi Dog, the live-action and animated series brings the characters to life through the imagination of Jim's granddaughter, "Min."

The show contains both imaginary animated shorts and live-action education segments, featuring the talents of Academy Award Nominee, James Cromwell as "Jim," and Marty Robinson, the lead puppeteer of Jim Henson's Creature Studio, as "Maxi," a fully-animated puppet. The show also supports a fully developed educational SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) course focused on tolerance and acceptance of everyone. The writing team includes legendary writers of the family series Air Bud, and Phineas & Ferb, in collaboration with the best in Children's Curriculum.

Boxing Clever is involved in the development of the concept, content, program visualization, branding, and merchandising. We are credited as an Associate Producer for the upcoming series.

During the Covid-19 lockdown, we leveraged the Maxi puppet to educate children on the safety of using the mask and to remove the fear of what was happening globally. The videos were filmed within days of the lockdown to be used in a campaign led by the New York Mayor's Office.
