Kölsch Repack

Every great beer has a great story, but Schlafly's Kölsch Beer is legendary! Winner of the Gold Medal in the World Beer Cup, this storied brew is recognized globally. The Kölsch style beer originated in the 1600's in Köln, Germany. Known as the "beer of kings," the beer is traditionally served in a tall thin glass called a "Stange" and placed in a circular tray along with other glasses resembling a crown. Schlafly's Kölsch is even more unique in that the yeast strain was given to the family as a wedding present, making Schlafly's the only true Kölsch style beer brewed in the US! The repackaging was a chance to tell the larger story of the style, updating the branding to be inviting and fun, reminiscent of the German beer festivals in celebration of this unique brew!
