the name
Boxing Clever is British slang for “fighting smart.” Seriously, that is what someone who used to work here told us. I can't verify that it's true, but at least it's not a stupid pun like MARKETING FORCE or WHIP AGENCY or GO TEAM AGENCY or a bunch of names like Leo and Burnett, Withers, Megatron, Nancy and Flanders, Satchi and Saatchee and Stotchee and Skotchee or my favorite, Weiden Kennedy. Is that their first names? Last names? Middle names? Confirmation names? Buddhist names? Is the Kennedy the same Kennedy from old MTV days? The glasses girl? We all had a thing for her back in the day.

Boxing Clever was originally formed as Four Alarm Studio. That name became problematic when people called us when there was a fire and we told them we were on the way to help and then never showed up, resulting in places being burned to the ground. I mean, really people? You wouldn't call 9-1-1? It's a joke in your town?
our mission
To inspire. Seriously, that's it. Inspire people to have fun and create an environment in which our employees can actually fulfill their creative dreams under this roof.
And to also provide semi-clean PRIVATE restrooms so that no one under our roof has to "clear their throat" when someone else walks into the restroom so they know someone else is in the stall, and so they don't hang out extra in the bathroom while "throat clearer, hey I'm in here man, don't linger Cranberry's style" lets them know so they'll leave so they can drop that last bit of stank. I mean, "c'mon man, I'm in here! Do you business and leave. I gotta finish this Custer's Last Stand! Vamoose, bro. Gotta drop some bass."
